How to Earn Amplify Rewards Points

The St. George Amplify Visa card offers a rewards program with points redeemable for airline miles, travel service, gift cards and also chosen household and electronic merchandise. The points are conveniently redeemable online through the St. George website, with 24 hours a day 7 days a week access. Points are earned per dollar spent on the St George Amplify credit card, with additional points earned at various businesses who are part of the Amplify Bonus Partners program.

How to Begin Earning Points

The Amplify Visa card is available for qualified permanent Australian residents who are over 18 years of age. An application for the credit card can be completed on the St. George website, or in person at a local branch. Once approved for the card, there will be a choice of different rewards programs – Amplify Rewards or Amplify Qantas.

Amplify Rewards Program

Amplify Rewards awards 1 point per 1 dollar spent on the credit card, with up to 3 points earned at Amplify business partners. These points are redeemable for air miles or points with many different major airlines, or for other merchandise listed in the Amplify Rewards program.

Amplify Qantas Rewards Program

The Amplify Qantas rewards program is a distinct enrollment option and awards Qantas flight miles into the Qantas Frequent Flyer program, with 1 point earned per 2 dollars spent on credit purchases. Enrolling into the Amplify Qantas rewards program links the credit card account to an existing Qantas Frequent Flyer account, or it can be used to create a new Frequent Flyer membership. Creating a new Qantas Frequent Flyer membership is currently complimentary through the Amplify Rewards program.

Bonus Partner Program

When a member of the Amplify Rewards program, additional points are earned above the one dollar per point standard when purchases are made with companies who are members of the Bonus Partner program. The maximum number of points earned per dollar in the program is 3, with a list of the points earned and specific Partners available at the St. George Amplify website. There are partner companies of all kinds available – such as travel companies, food and wine establishments, and entertainment venues.

Rewards Earned

With Amplify Rewards membership, points can be redeemed for travel miles, various items, or gift cards. The travel rewards include airline miles for both domestic and international travel, hotel accommodations, and holiday packages.

The items available for points include appliances and household wares, food and wine, and electronics. Additionally, points can be used for leisure and fitness rewards, and entertainment venues. There is also the option to put points toward charitable donations.

There is the option of receiving an email newsletter with Amplify Hot Rewards, which is an update on the latest items and deals available for points.

If there is an item or service offered for points and there is not yet enough rewards points accumulated in an account, the Points Plus Pay option allows additional points to be purchased for a cash amount.

Additional Considerations

Amplify Points are earned on purchases only, and not cash advances from the credit card. There must be at least 3,000 points earned in an account before the points can be used towards airline miles or airline points. Airline points and miles can only be redeemed if the rewards account is enrolled in the correct airline points membership programs.
