The Velocity Rewards program is an increasingly popular program allowing you to accumulate points in various ways, which can be redeemed for rewards such as free flights, hotel accommodations, and car rentals. There are different degrees of membership in the program, which allow you to earn Velocity points at different rates, and redeeming these points is simple.

By going to the Velocity website and logging in with your membership number, you can go to the Redeem section in order to redeem your points. You will want to have a Velocitycard handy, because some purchases with points may have additional taxes or surcharge fees which you will need to pay. The types of purchases you can make with your Velocity Rewards points are as follows.

Flights

There are various seats you can purchase depending on how many points you have to spend. The "rewards seats" require the least amount of points, but there are only limited numbers available, so you should book a seat as early as possible to make sure that you get on to the flight you want. The "any seat" option allows you to purchase any seat without space or time restrictions, including allowing you to get seats on flights during popular times of year like Easter or Christmas, but these require that you redeem more points.

Hotels

Depending on the amount of points you have, you can book different rooms, and you will want to make sure you have at least two weeks in advance to get a room. More expensive hotels, busier nights for hotels, such as the holiday season, and more expensive rooms such as suites or penthouses will require more points in order to book. Call the hotel ahead of time to see if you can book a given room, and inform them that you are going to use Velocity Rewards points to purchase the room. Then log onto the Redeem site of the Velocity Rewards website and order a certificate using your points, which will then be mailed to you. Present your certificate when you check into the hotel.

Car Rental

For Fiat rentals, you can use your points directly on the Velocity Rewards site to reserve a car. If you want to book through Europcar, simply call Velocity to have them help you make arrangements. For limousine services, call the limo service and inform them you are going to pay using points, and order a certificate from the Velocity Rewards website like you would for a hotel reservation.
